It has been an honor for us to work with him in this project, 148 social housing homes in Carabanchel, Madrid, executing these spectacular precast panels with a design based on the Fibonacci succession. <b><a href=\"https:\/\/linkedin.com\/feed\/hashtag\/?keywords=%23prefabricado\" target=\"_self\" rel=\"noopener\" rel=\"nofollow noopener noreferrer\">#<\/a><\/b><a href=\"https:\/\/linkedin.com\/feed\/hashtag\/?keywords=%23prefabricado\" target=\"_self\" rel=\"noopener\" rel=\"nofollow noopener noreferrer\"><b>precast<\/b><\/a> <b><a href=\"https:\/\/linkedin.com\/feed\/hashtag\/?keywords=%23hormigon\" target=\"_self\" rel=\"noopener\" rel=\"nofollow noopener noreferrer\">#<\/a><\/b><a href=\"https:\/\/linkedin.com\/feed\/hashtag\/?keywords=%23hormigon\" target=\"_self\" rel=\"noopener\" rel=\"nofollow noopener noreferrer\"><b>concrete<\/b><\/a> <b><a href=\"https:\/\/linkedin.com\/feed\/hashtag\/?keywords=%23fachada\" target=\"_self\" rel=\"noopener\" rel=\"nofollow noopener noreferrer\">#<\/a><\/b><a href=\"https:\/\/linkedin.com\/feed\/hashtag\/?keywords=%23fachada\" target=\"_self\" rel=\"noopener\" rel=\"nofollow noopener noreferrer\"><b>facade<\/b><\/a> <b><a href=\"https:\/\/linkedin.com\/feed\/hashtag\/?keywords=%23dise%C3%B1o\" target=\"_self\" rel=\"noopener\" rel=\"nofollow noopener noreferrer\">#<\/a><\/b><a href=\"https:\/\/linkedin.com\/feed\/hashtag\/?keywords=%23dise%C3%B1o\" target=\"_self\" rel=\"noopener\" rel=\"nofollow noopener noreferrer\"><b>design<\/b><\/a><\/p>\n<p>In this residential project for the district of Carabanchel, in the south of Madrid, Isozaki considers what constructive model should emerge in the 21st century, after the 20th century\u2019s dominant skyscraper.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"size-full wp-image-910 aligncenter\" src=\"https:\/\/prehorquisa.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/01\/prehorquisa-arata-isozaki.png\" alt=\"\" width=\"750\" height=\"560\" srcset=\"https:\/\/prehorquisa.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/01\/prehorquisa-arata-isozaki.png 750w, https:\/\/prehorquisa.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/01\/prehorquisa-arata-isozaki-536x400.png 536w, https:\/\/prehorquisa.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/01\/prehorquisa-arata-isozaki-600x448.png 600w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 750px) 100vw, 750px\" \/><\/p>\n<p>The solution consists of a chain of parallelograms that draw a screen in the main fa\u00e7ade (Av. De los Poblados), using the Penrose Pattern, a geometric tiling model that does not reproduce periodically the drawings.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;The resulting parallelograms follow the Fibonacci succession,&#8221; the 13th-century Italian mathematician who set the numerical sequence that spirals describe in nature.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"wp-image-909 aligncenter\" src=\"https:\/\/prehorquisa.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/01\/prehorquisa-arata-isozaki.jpeg\" alt=\"\" width=\"511\" height=\"287\" \/><\/p>\n<p>&#8220;A first consequence using this pattern is the opening of each house to two facades&#8221;, as explained in the Arata Isozaki Spain\u2019s Studio website. &#8220;This way, a free urban landscape could be created, different from the current one, different from the one found in the Universal Space&#8221; of the 20th century.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"wp-image-908 aligncenter\" src=\"https:\/\/prehorquisa.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/01\/prehorquisa-arata-isozaki-2.jpeg\" alt=\"\" width=\"693\" height=\"338\" srcset=\"https:\/\/prehorquisa.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/01\/prehorquisa-arata-isozaki-2.jpeg 1200w, https:\/\/prehorquisa.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/01\/prehorquisa-arata-isozaki-2-800x390.jpeg 800w, https:\/\/prehorquisa.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/01\/prehorquisa-arata-isozaki-2-768x374.jpeg 768w, https:\/\/prehorquisa.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/01\/prehorquisa-arata-isozaki-2-600x293.jpeg 600w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 693px) 100vw, 693px\" \/><\/p>\n<p>Based on these premises, Rafael Humbert&#8217;s Studio developed the extraordinary technical project that enabled the execution of such a singular idea.<\/p>\n<p>\u00a0<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"wp-image-907 aligncenter\" src=\"https:\/\/prehorquisa.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/01\/prehorquisa-arata-isozaki-3.jpeg\" alt=\"\" width=\"360\" height=\"541\" srcset=\"https:\/\/prehorquisa.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/01\/prehorquisa-arata-isozaki-3.jpeg 798w, https:\/\/prehorquisa.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/01\/prehorquisa-arata-isozaki-3-266x400.jpeg 266w, https:\/\/prehorquisa.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/01\/prehorquisa-arata-isozaki-3-532x800.jpeg 532w, https:\/\/prehorquisa.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/01\/prehorquisa-arata-isozaki-3-768x1155.jpeg 768w, https:\/\/prehorquisa.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/01\/prehorquisa-arata-isozaki-3-600x902.jpeg 600w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 360px) 100vw, 360px\" \/><\/p>\n<p>In collaboration with both studios and Sacyr\u2019s technical office, Prehorquisa\u2019s technical department developed the project for these precast concrete facades.<\/p>\n<p>In order to optimize this design, based on differentiable parallelograms, and obtain panels of adequate dimensions so as not to impose an extra cost in its manipulation and assembly, it was decided to combine different finishes in the same panel. This way, we managed to maintain the original design, improving the efficiency of assembly with panels between 8-9 sqm\/u.
